Community Guidelines
Welcome! The WatershedWork Community Portal is a space for neighbors to connect, learn, and take part in local conservation and watershed efforts. To maintain a welcoming and productive environment, all participants must follow these guidelines:
1. Be respectful and kind
Engage with others in a courteous, constructive manner. Disagreements are fine; disrespect is not.
2. Stay on topic
Conversations should relate to local community issues, watershed concerns, environmental topics, or helpful civic engagement. Off-topic posting and spam are not permitted.
3. Share reliable information
Please avoid sharing misinformation. If you're unsure, ask questions instead of stating assumptions as facts.
4. Protect everyone's privacy
Do not post personal information about others. Avoid sharing addresses, phone numbers, or identifying details.
5. No political campaigning
Discussions about policy or civic issues are welcome, but partisan advocacy, electioneering, or fundraising is not allowed.
6. No advertising or promotions
Commercial postings, solicitations, or marketing messages are not permitted.
7. Keep content appropriate
Posts must be suitable for a general audience. No profanity, explicit material, or inappropriate content.
8. Follow moderator direction
Moderators may move, edit, or remove posts to maintain community standards. Repeated violations may lead to suspension or removal.
9. Help keep this a welcoming place
Report concerning behavior to moderators instead of escalating conflicts.
10. Participate honestly
Use your real identity. Impersonation or misleading accounts are not allowed.
Summary
Be respectful. Be constructive. Stay on topic. Protect privacy. No spam or political campaigning. Follow moderator guidance.
